Fred's Teaching

FRED's Teaching was founded by teacher and reading expert Kieron Murphy in 2021 and features a huge variety of engaging reading resources that have been used by thousands of teachers in classrooms all around the world!  

At Stickland's, we believe in inclusion and quality first teaching for all children.  Children are scaffolded and extended as required within the classroom and Fred's teaching enables us to provide high-quality, teacher-led reading teaching to all children across a range of texts and themes. We cover texts, films and documentaries relating to International Women's Day, male and female poets, Black History Month and more at appropriate and meaningful times throughout the year.

From Year 2 onwards, children will be accessing regular whole-class reading sessions, comprehension and fluency tasks.
