We are the Reception class.
Our Class Teacher is Mrs Will and our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Symington.
In Goldfinch class most of our learning is achieved through busy and purposeful play in our indoor classroom and outdoors in both our garden and our forest school area
We are explorers, adventurers, risk takers, problem solvers, artists, geographers, historians, sculptors, writers, readers, illustrators, builders, swimmers and much, much more!

GEOGRAPHY
We follow the children's interests as much as possible. We use quality texts and wherever we can we link these to outdoor topics by investigating and learning all about British birds, trees, mini-beasts, planting, the changing seasons and British mammals getting outside to observe, sketch and record first hand as often as possible.
We are passionate about being outdoors and connecting children to the natural world so we are outside as much as possible
FOREST SCHOOL
We go into our forest school area at least once a week where we hunt for minibeasts, climb tyres, make dens, role-play, sing songs, learn to use tools, build fires, climb trees, tie knots, make concoctions in the mud kitchen, make elderflower cordial and much much more besides!
